Maps to understand the North Cleethorpes area supported by Big Local
In order to establish a funded Big Local group, a geographical area had to be agreed back in 2012 within which Big Local North Cleethorpes would operate.
“North Cleethorpes” is not an nationally recognised designation but our area was determined through various nationally agreed community measures and has helped us target our programme activities ever since.
See the maps below for specific details, but we largely define the Big Local “North Cleethorpes” area as being within the Sidney Sussex and Croft Baker wards of North East Lincolnshire but covering the postcodes of DN35 7 and DN35 8. This shorthand allowed us to assess where projects we delivered would operate.
The key focus has always been that residents within the North Cleethorpes boundary would receive the support and benefit of a project – whether or not the delivering organisation or agency was also based within the footprint. But we also worked hard to ensure that, whenever possible, local North Cleethorpes based organisations were commissioned.
