Big Local contributed to the redevelopment of the outdoor spaces at this North Cleethorpes school

Queen Mary Avenue school serves the most deprived area of North Cleethorpes and they were looking to develop an outdoor classroom to enable the school children to engage with the natural world during their school time.
The school approached Big Local North Cleethorpes who could immediately see how much a small investment would benefit a large number of children.
Big Local North Cleethorpes invested just £5000 for the redevelopment of the outdoor space but this was more than matched by additional external funders and fundraising and donations done by the school and parents too.
The outdoor spaces were a great success and led to a further partnership with Big Local when Grimsby Town Football Club was able to invest further in school sports activities over a couple of years. Read about the football project here.
