A community youth arts venue on Cleethorpes Station. The latest use for this building after a few years of development.

The TickART office is the very latest use for the old Ticket Office building on Cleethorpes Railway Station.
The building is now a venue for the community – especially young people – to get involved with arts and creative activities. The venue is led by local artist Lynsey Powles and the building is leased from Network Rail and Transpennine Express by We Are Fish (who also run the local Sidney Sussex Pavilion and Pitstop in the Park).
The venue and its activities are entirely self-funded by raising grants and donations and up to January 2025 a wide range of workshops and projects had already been run at the TickART office since the doors opened mid 2024.
The Big Local connection
Previously this building had been used by the Cycle Hub when it opened a Cleethorpes branch to compliment the Grimsby Branch. At that point the building had been unused for a long time and a major project was undertaken to redevelop the building. This was a large project led by the Council, Network Rail and various large scale funders.
Big Local North Cleethorpes supported the redevelopment project at the time through investing £20000 in adding an access ramp to the station concourse from North Promenade. This ramp continues to be a Big Local legacy that supports local people access the station and of course this now includes accessing the TickART office.
Big Local and CYC The Hangout Youth Group also have directly funded a range of youth arts workshops at the TickART office during 2023-early 2025.
The TickART office building
As of 2024, We Are Fish and Lynsey Powles took over the building and rebranded it as the TickART Office (to reflect its past heritage). Little additional refurbishment was required, and the space was just filled with furniture and equipment to enable workshops to begin.
Workshops and use of the TickART office
The TickART Office is a ‘community youth arts’ hub. Eventually there will be a gallery in there (2025) but its main purpose is to engage young people.

Big Local North Cleethorpes have been able to fund a number of workshops at the TickART Office (2024-2025) via our own Youth Funding or through CYC The Hangout.
This new space means that a building comes back into use and is being used by local groups for the ongoing benefit of young people in the North Cleethorpes area.
