Big Local North Cleethorpes is part of a UK wide initiative which always claimed to invest \u00a31m into over 100 communities to be spent over the course of 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But in reality that journey has been even longer than the advertised 10 years. We started our journey locally around 2011\/12 starting to bid for the funding. Then in 2013 we started to engage the community for the first time, before getting going on some real projects by 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wind forward another 10 years and Big Local North Cleethorpes officially winds down. In January 2025, Big Local North Cleethorpes finally closed, leaving, we hope, many supported local people, a changed community and some legacy projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The timeline below is simple and doesn’t reflect ever project, but it gives a good flavour of our journey over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n
