The Cleethorpes Police Station on Prince\u2019s Road was marked for closure after decades of serving the area with community policing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
VANEL also had Police connections and ex-Police on the team, so the \u201cCleethorpes Cops\u201d project was led by VANEL to do research both into the history of the Police Station itself and into community policing in the Cleethorpes Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The resulting website and book share a fascinating insight into Policing through history in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Read about the Cleethorpes Cop project<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n A Green Route<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n The second project had a focus on the history of the green spaces around Cleethorpes. Looking back at the history of Sidney Park or Sussex Recreation Ground uncovers information which local residents might not be aware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But this project also was a chance to engage volunteers to help with research.
