A Cleethorpes Urban Art Trail

Across Cleethorpes there are many examples of Urban Art to enjoy. Big Local North Cleethorpes has actively supported the creation of some of this art by commissioning local artists, as well as through sponsorship of the North Cleethorpes Fringe Festival as part of the annual Reclaim Urban Arts Festivalduring 2022 and 2023.  And many other artists have been commissioned separately by projects and businesses to prepare artworks.

Some of the artwork is external and easy to visit. Others are inside venues and you might need to visit at the right time or get permission. Some art is older and showing signs of decay – that’s the nature of urban art. But if you get a chance to explore, please visit some of the art around our area.

You can also watch our video on Clee-TV Youtube channel about the Urban Arts trail and how Big Local has been involved here.

Random Urban Art

Not all urban art is of course commissioned or planned.  There’s the unrequested, illegal stuff too which can be an eyesore. But there’s also the random art that people might have done themselves.  We’ve not looked widely across Cleethorpes for these, but keep your eyes peeled when you’re out and about and see what you can discover for yourself.

Here’s one I found on a back wall facing onto Sidney Park!
