Over the years, Big Local North Cleethorpes has sponsored or funded a range of art projects – some of which have resulted in long term art still being around as a legacy.
In 2023, Big Local North Cleethorpes sponsored three local artists to produce art depicting North Cleethorpes. The three framed pieces are depicted below. They are displayed in various locations around Cleethorpes (currently they are at our community hub at 82 Grimsby Road).
See larger versions of these commissioned pieces below…
In 2018, Big Local commissioned a mural to go onto the internal wall at Poplar Road Fire Station in Cleethorpes. It’s less straightforward to gain access to the Fire Station, but if you can, then the mural is still there to see.
Big Local also commissioned artwork on the doors of our Red Shed at 82 Grimsby Road. This artwork was in memory of our friend and partnership member Ian Brocklebank who sadly passed away in 2020.
And in 2022 and 2023 Big Local North Cleethorpes also sponsored various urban art to be painted on walls around Cleethorpes. These are still there to visit.
Urban Art Trail
The artwork commissioned and funded by Big Local North Cleethorpes is also featured in our Urban Arts Trail webpage and map – alongside many, many other pieces of urban art around Cleethorpes that was not directly commissioned by ourselves.
Find out about the Urban Art Trail here or pop into the community hub at 82 Grimsby Road to pick up a copy of the map.
